A few things that agitate me, while they’re fresh in my brain:

1. Somehow a non-working number continues to call the dealership several times a day. Every.Single.Day. I’ve actually tried to call it back, which is how I found out it was non-working in the first place. It directs me to Progressive somewhere in the U.S. Where after I explain to the woman my issue, she continues to transfer me to the employee help desk, which requires a PIN, which I don’t have. I don’t think she cares. (update: that number just called back. I picked up/hung up)

Hmm I guess that’s it. In a better mood than I thought today! HA!

I Do: Who Asks Who

I turned on my radio on the drive to work today only to hear some controversy from both sexes.

Who should propose? The man or the woman in the relationship? There seemed to be a few women who called in about possibly popping the question to their significant other. There were a few different reasons. One’s boyfriend said that he proposed to a girl once before and won’t do it again, so if she wants to get married, she has to ask. Another said that he will ask, but she has to propose first so he “knows that she’s serious”

Honestly, I think these women are naive and convincing themselves that their other half actually wants to be married. Some women want to propose because they want to shake things up and that is O.K. I think that is great! However, for the reasons above, not so much. Engagements and Marriages shouldn’t be entered into via ultimatum. It seems that will only lead to resentment.

What are your thoughts? Should the man or the woman propose? What do you think of those reasons? If you are the female proposing, would you get down on one knee?

What I’ve Been Up To

So lately, my focus at work has changed. I’ve been doing a lot with our Social Networking, Web site and some marketing/event coordination. I am lucky enough to have a friend who is a Graphic Artist wanting to do a lot more freelance work on her own. She was kind enough to let me set up all of her social networking pages. She needs the promotion and I need the experience. Goes hand in hand right?

In the mean time, the experience I need this for is my job. We’re in the process of being bought out by a major corporation and had to re-apply for our current positions. I’ve applied for higher positions in hopes to continue on with my media work.

Other than that, we just celebrated the Popo’s 28th birthday. I can’t believe 28 already. We were 22 and 23 when we first got together. Crazy how time flies by.
